Manufacturer's 2-Year Limited Warranty
BGW Doors offers a 2-year limited warranty on all wood doors against manufacturing defects in material and worksmanship from the date of shipment to the retailer.

Should any door fail due to defects, BGW Doors will, at its discretion, either (1) repair the door without charge, (2) ship replacement product of the same item as originally supplied to the distributor, or (3) refund the original purchase price if the door is deemed non-repairable.  Any claim for warpage may be deferred, at the discretion of the manufacturer, for a period of up to 12 months from the date of the claim, as it is not uncommon for temporary warp to occur as the door adjusts to local humidity and temperature conditions.

Upon delivery of product(s):
1.  Check entire order for any incorrect or missing items or parts.
2.  Check all matierla for any damaged and/or missing defects in glass, mouldings, stiles, rails, or warpage.
3.  Do not cut, bore, hang, or ifnish any material if damaged or defective.
4.  If any damage or defect is detected, the customer must contact BGW within 5 days of delivery.

Installation and finishing of products:
1.  *Any unfurnished door must meet the following conditions.
    a.  Be fully sealed on all 6 sides with a quality paint or sealer within 24 hours upon delivery and customer acceptance.  This includes behind the hinges, door shoes, or any other hardware.
    b.  Have a minimum of 3 coats of a quality polyurethane finish.
    c.  Do not use any lacquer, shellac, or white-wash finishes.
2.  Do not expose any door to direct sunlight, heat, moisture, wind, rian, or harmful chemicals.
3.  Do not over-cut door (cutting into the mortise and tenon joints).
4.  **All doors must have a sufficient overhang for protection and meet the following conditions:
    a.  Overhang must be located directly above the door and cover the entire width of teh door.
    b.  The minimum requirement for a 80" door is a 48" deep overhang; for a 96" door a 60" deep overhang.  For doors with transoms or higher overhangs, depths of the overhang shoudl equal half of the height between the bottom of the door to the top of the overhang.

Definition of defective material:
1.  Any portion of the door that is warped over 5/16".
2.  Any panel that is cracked enough to show light through it.
3.  Any joined parts with a gap exceeding 3/15" in size.
4.  Any part of the door that has been chipped off over 3/16" in width upon inspection at delivery.

A defective door must meet the following conditions to be repaired or replaced:
1.  Door must not be pre-cut, trimmed, bored, or installed.
2.  Door must not be pre-finished by the customer or contain any customer paint, stain, shellac, or sealer.
3.  We always accept doors that have been pre-finished by BGW (1-year warranty on the pre-finish). 
4.  We always accept doors that have been pre-hung by BGW.

Out-of-warranty conditions:
1.  Any door exposed to direct sunlight, heat, moisture, wind, rain, or harmful chemicals.
2.  Any door not sealed or finished according to the above instructions.*
3.  Any door without sufficient roofing, awning, or overhang to provide adequate protection.**
4.  Any door mishandled, abused, improperly stored, overcut (cutting into the mortise and tenon joints) or improperly installed.
